Green 500
This is the initiative sponsored by the mayor of London. There are 500 organisations based in London that have signed up and committed there businesses to reducing their carbon footprint. This is heavily backed by the Carbon trust and its National Energy Foundation.
Quadnet did a lot of due diligence to become a supplier to this 500 members list - we are currently (Feb 10) the only IT supplier to the Green 500.
This ties in very heavily with the Energy Efficiency message / propositions. We have a good relationship with NEF and they have done presentations at our seminars (Contact = Penny Townsend). We are the only IT supplier on the list 16/2/2010 Potential to contact the member list and get meetings for SOR/Energy efficient solutions.
We met our business objectives, reducing server count by 50 and enabling us to react rapidly to new business demands...
