With a move to Birmingham imminent and funding reduced, Nacro engaged a firm of change management consultants to provide advice about what investments were necessary to continue to provide its services. The consultants approached Quadnet for advice on the infrastructure.

Quadnet quickly realised that Nacro’s existing infrastructure was hampering the charity’s service delivery.

In-depth review

A One-to-One briefing and in-depth review of Nacro’s needs was organised at an HP demonstration centre, to bring Nacro up to speed on virtualisation technologies.

As a result of the review, Quadnet proposed a VMware virtualisation solution based on HP blades and an HP storage area network. It also proposed replicating the infrastructure at a second site so that, in the event of failure, services could be resumed in one hour.
